The 18th Hangzhou Culture and Creative Industry Expo has begun and will run through to November 27th 2024. We are delighted to have a large number of GSoI members representing Ireland at the Expo. Congratulations to all the makers exhibiting their work at this international event. The group of ‘10 Hands Crafts‘ curated by Angela Brady will showcase Irish Craft and Design at Hangzhou Culture & Creative Exhibition from 17-21 Oct 2024.
10 Hands Crafts are a group of well known Irish master crafts people, who are representing Ireland at Hangzhou Culture and Creative Crafts exhibition 2024. The show has been curated by Angela Brady chairperson of 10 hands Crafts, who also curated the 2018 show at Hangzhou.

Each of the group have created bespoke artworks for the show.
Earlier in 2024 Roísín de Buitléar of the Glass Society of Ireland, curated a show called The Glass Runway, a collaboration with the Irish Fashion Institute. A selection of 5 of the glass artists work is on show here.
Irish Design and Craft in Ireland is well known throughout the world for its originality. Many of the artists are inspired by nature and the rugged Irish landscape. The Arts are supported by the Irish government which has given the crafts people opportunity to thrive. Our group are open to international collaboration.
