Róisín de Buitléar is visual artist who draws her inspiration from her cultural heritage. Her practice spans architecture, sculpture, design and site-specific installations. Her work can be seen in public buildings throughout Ireland. Her recent work focuses on light, sound and glass: objects for performance and exhibition.

Her artwork is represented in national collections in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Britain, Japan, China USA.

'CAUTION! Fragile: Tradition in Transition' a seminal exhibition focused on traditions of cutting and engraving glass in Ireland, was exhibited at the National Museum of Ireland for 2018. Awards: Artist’s residency at the National Museum of Ireland 2018 An exploration of legacy, ornamentation and Ireland’s narrative traditions.The Bonham’s prize special mention, Venice Glass week 2020. Recently completed sculptures installed at Waterford University Hospital and for the National Children’s Hospital Dublin
